About Us

Building a world where every pregnant mother receives the care, dignity, and support they deserve.

Our Foundation

The Global Mothers Wellbeing Foundation (GMWF) C.I.C. was established in 2024 in the United Kingdom as a response to the global maternal health crisis that continues to claim lives and cause preventable suffering.

Every year, hundreds of thousands of women die from pregnancy-related complications, with the vast majority of these deaths occurring in vulnerable and underserved communities. We believe this is unacceptable.

GMWF was founded on the principle that every mother—regardless of her economic status, nationality, or circumstances—deserves access to quality healthcare, proper nutrition, emotional support, and above all, dignity throughout her pregnancy journey.

We focus our efforts on the most marginalized populations: refugees, asylum seekers, survivors of domestic violence, teen mothers, and women in communities with limited access to healthcare services.

Our Global Commitment

GMWF is committed to long-term, sustainable change in maternal healthcare globally. We don’t just provide immediate relief—we build systems that ensure mothers continue to receive quality care for generations to come.

Our work focuses on three pillars: saving lives through immediate intervention, restoring hope through compassionate support, and building sustainable maternal care systems through community partnerships and advocacy.

We partner with local healthcare providers, international organizations, and community leaders to create comprehensive support networks that address the unique challenges faced by vulnerable mothers in different regions.

Founder & Visionary (IjeLady)

“Every mother’s life is precious. Every pregnancy should be celebrated, not feared. It is our sacred duty to ensure that no woman faces pregnancy alone or without proper care.”

Ambassador Mrs Ijeoma Ajaelu, affectionately known as IjeLady, founded GMWF with a deeply personal commitment to maternal wellbeing that stems from witnessing the challenges faced by vulnerable pregnant women in communities across the globe.

Her vision is clear: to create a world where maternal healthcare is not a privilege but a fundamental right—where every mother, regardless of her circumstances, receives compassionate, comprehensive care throughout her pregnancy journey.

Through GMWF, she works tirelessly to build sustainable support systems, advocate for policy changes, and directly serve mothers in their most vulnerable moments, ensuring they are treated with the dignity and respect they deserve.
